Introduction
In Ephesians, we see Paul write a letter to the church of Ephesus.
Back in 60 AD, Paul sat in a Roman prison and wrote to the people of Ephesus about the Gospel and ways to apply the Word into our everyday lives.
As we read through these chapters together, there will be multiple ways we are reminded of Jesus in Ephesians as well as various ways to grow in following Jesus.
Ephesians 1 paints a beautiful picture of the gospel and the incredible love God has for us.
Before the foundation of the world, God had a plan to redeem His people through Jesus Christ. Though we all fall short because of sin, God did not leave us without hope. Instead, He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins and rise again so that everyone who trusts in Him can receive forgiveness, new life, and an eternal relationship with the Father (John 3:16). What an incredible gift of grace!
Throughout this chapter, Paul reminds us of the many blessings we have in Christ. We have been chosen, adopted into God's family, redeemed through Jesus' blood, forgiven of our sins, and given an eternal inheritance.
When we place our faith in Christ, we are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit—a guarantee that we belong to God and that He will faithfully complete His work for us.
In Christ, you are
Before Jesus' sacrifice, God's people offered sacrifices in effort to have a good-standing relationship with God. Some examples of sacrifices that were made were the killing of animals or the offering of their best crops to the Lord.
Those sacrifices pointed forward to the perfect sacrifice that was to come. Jesus became that perfect and final sacrifice, paying the full price for our sins once and for all.
Because of Him, we no longer have to earn God's favor. Through faith in Christ, we can confidently approach God and enjoy a personal relationship with Him, empowered daily by the Holy Spirit.
God's love for you is not based on your performance but on His grace.
What an encouraging reminder! God has pursued you, adopted you into His family, and given you every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Even on days when you feel weak, discouraged, or unworthy, His promises remain true. Your identity is found in Him, and nothing can separate you from His love.
As you go about your day, remember this truth: you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father.
Ask God to give you opportunities to reflect that love to those around you. Whether it's through a kind word, an encouraging conversation, or simply praying with someone who is hurting, allow the hope you've received in Christ to overflow into the lives of others.

Share the hope you have received.
Pray today for courage and boldness to share the good news of Jesus. You never know how God may use a simple act of obedience to remind someone that they are seen, loved, and invited into a relationship with Him.
